Five in a row!

Over the past year, TDA has secured as many as five A320s from Aircastle under our longstanding asset management program, which are currently undergoing teardown at Aersale in Goodyear, Arizona. The aircraft used to fly with the Mexican low-cost airline Interjet until the spring of 2020. It’s the biggest teardown project ever in the history of TDA.

All five A320s have an age of 21 years on average and will go for the aftermarket supply. With this harvest we give a major boost to our A320 stock supply on demand.

Large scale & long-term project

The first of five teardowns started last summer, starting off with the first Airbus, MSN1244. Shortly after, MSN1132 and 1162 followed.

All five aircraft come with interesting units. For example: 1162 was equipped with a ram air turbine which had been installed in a A321NEO. 1244 carries a recently overhauled landing gear. All machines have (Automatic Dependent Surveillance–Broadcast) ADSB-OUT installed and a cargo rail system for container freight in the belly.

All parts are shipped to our global warehouses from where we will serve on out-right demand as wel as on exchange base from our pool of A320 materials. All in all, it’s a big project.

NEW WAREHOUSE LOCATION

TULSA, OKLAHOMA. UNITED STATES

With more consignment projects conducted in the US, we expanded our warehousing capacity with a new storage facility in Tulsa in the state of Oklahoma. Tulsa is the home of a major MRO facility.

With an extra 60,000 sq.ft, we make sure to cover a bigger region for local support and supply of A330 and A320 materials.
